Gaper - a tool for forming a shadow gap

CHANGE THE WAY YOU WORK

WORK 5 TIMES FASTER
WITH GAPER

WHAT IS GAPER?

Gaper is a specialized tool designed to create an 8 mm shadow gap joint when installing gypsum board ceilings. Its purpose is to save time, reduce labor costs, and ensure a perfectly straight shadow gap in every project.

With Gaper, you always get a professional, perfectly even shadow gap joint - without defects or irregularities.

WHY AN 8 MM SHADOW GAP JOINT?

8 mm is the standard that allows for a clean, professional shadow gap joint between the gypsum board and the wall.

  • This size is neither too small nor too large – it is ideal for finishing work: you can use either a finishing profile or silicone.
  • An 8 mm joint creates an aesthetic shadow effect and hides small irregularities.
  • It leaves enough space for finishers to complete the work properly.

With the Gaper tool, you can create a consistent 8 mm shadow gap, regardless of whether installation is done with a UD profile or without it.
EASY TO USE

Using Gaper is very simple – it attaches to profiles with 5 strong magnets, and the gypsum board is pressed against the Gaper to form the required gap. The tool can be operated with just one hand.

UNIVERSAL INSTALLATION

Gaper can be used universally – both with and without UD profiles.

  • When installing without a UD profile – simply rotate the Gaper and remove it.
  • When installing with a UD profile – the Gaper can simply be pulled out.
ONE-PERSON USE

Gaper allows the entire job to be done by just one installer. This means lower costs, faster work, and a simpler process.

FLEXIBLE FINISHING OPTIONS

After forming the shadow gaps, finishing can be chosen as needed:

  • With a finishing profile – insert a PVC or metal sheet profile, fill it with putty, and get a clean result.
  • Without a profile – the gap can be filled with acrylic silicone, smoothed with a brush, and the result is a clean, even shadow gap.
5 TIMES FASTER WORK

Using Gaper speeds up the entire installation process by up to 5 times.

  • In corners, it is recommended to use 4 Gaper tools per board to ensure the shadow gap is perfectly even on all sides.
  • When working along a straight wall, 2 Gaper tools are sufficient to maintain accuracy.
  • No additional measuring or adjustments are needed – the shadow gap is immediately straight and neat.
DURABLE AND LONG-LASTING

The body is made of nylon, which is highly impact-resistant:

  • Withstands repeated drops from up to 3 meters.
  • Special body design absorbs impacts when dropped.
  • Suitable for multiple uses without losing functionality.
